Circular No. (1) of 2026 regarding the commencement of procedural time limits, whereby all legal time limits (prescription periods, grievances, and appeals) have been suspended and extended during the period from 10 April 2026 to 27 April 2026.
As stated in the aforementioned decision, it is not permissible to rule on the forfeiture of rights, or to dismiss cases on grounds of inadmissibility or non-hearing during this period. The decision shall come into effect as of 28 April 2026. This is in line with the judiciary’s commitment to protecting litigants’ rights and ensuring the delivery of justice.
